Jogeumnaru Beach is located in Songhyeon-ri, Mangun-myeon, 12km southwest away from Muan-eup. The beach has a 4-kilometer long white sand, which sticks out at the end of a nearby village, and leafy pines trees, creating a scenic view. In the past, people could visit the beach only when the tide was low by taking a boat. Now the beach is connected with the main land and people can visit anytime. Many tourists visit the beach in summer for a field trip or a group tour and taste fresh sashimi and octopuses caught at the nearby sea. The beach also provides camping facilities including shower, running water and restrooms, making it easy for tourists to camp outside enjoying the summer night. The sunset view of the beach is breathtaking and romantic. The sashimi restaurants near the beach have delicious octopus dishes and sashimi.
