Chodang University launched the Department of Fire Service Administration in 2002. The department is dedicated to nurturing talent who can work on the ground and the museum is for helping students to learn the history of fire fighting.

The museum will help visitors to understand the field of firefighting and learn about the importance of fire fighting. Fire fighting equipment which dates back to as long as Joseon is displayed.
