Muan foreshore, which is often called "black silk,' is designated as Ramsar Wetland no. 1732 and Jeollanamdo Provincial Park. The center provides education programs and exhibitions on the value of the foreshore. The center has a vast ecological park, which helps provide unique foreshore experience for visitors. Also the center has successfully maintained the foreshore, which contribute to the local economy.

Heosan Baekryun Ji is a 100,000 pyeong sized reservoir built during the dark times of Japanese colonization. ere are more than 30 varieties of lotuses and more than 50 species of other aquatic plants in the habitat and facilities that help visitors learn about the aquatic ecosystem of the habitat.
The White Lotus Festival is held around July and August every year.
