Lotus Root Experience Event
In winter, visitors can harvest lotus roots themselves and enjoy various kinds of lotus root dishes. Local experts provide lessons on the recipes of lotus root dishes and give free samples of grilled lotus roots and sweet potatoes.

Buncheong Ware Kiln,where visitors can feel the spirit of potters
Buncheong Ware Kiln is located near Sacheon-ri and Monggang-ri in Mongtan-myeon. The potters have made buncheong wares since the three kingdom period using traditional methods. The kiln is known to have influenced Japanese porcelains greatly. Visitors can make their own wares themselves in the kiln and also learn about tea ceremony. Muan Buncheong Culture Festival is held around September every year.

Doripo, a splended sunrise and sunset spot of the yellow sea.
When you visit Doripo(Port Dori) in Haejae-myeon, Songseok-ri, you can see Hampyeong-gun, Yeonggwang-gun across Hamhaeman(Hambae Bay), which make breathtaking scenice views. Doripo is anglers' favorite spot as fish caught here are known to taste superb. Particularly gray mullet sashimi is one of the five 진미 in Muan and gourmets from other regions visit the port and enjoy the taste of gray mullet sashimi.

Wolseonri Artist Village, where visitors can look back on their childhood in their hometown.
Many artists in western painting, pottery and sculpting have livedin the village. The residents promised to make the village full of peach trees, so they are now planting peach trees every years.
The village provides various classes on pottery, Chineses character and rice straw crafting. Visitors can drink traditional teas and view the displays of buncheong wares. Children can fly their kites and make Korean ricecake and learn Korean traditional manners.
