The Chogeum Naru amusement park is located at the end of SongHyeon-ri town in Mangwoon-myeon. Before roads were constructed, it was connected to a village during low tide, but when the tide came up, people had to use boats to cross the waters. A long sand beach stretching over 4km and a rich sea pine forest create a natural recreation park bestowed by the heavens. The park has ample space for play, and during summer vacations many groups and organizations enjoy their stay here, playing volleyball and jok gu . Fresh fish and octopus caught from the nearby waters of adjacent Tan Do Bay can be picked live from water tanks and cooked to perfection, luring many gourmets. It is also an ideal place for camping as one can feel the gentle seaside breezes.
The sunset is especially beautiful here, and nearby sushi restaurants provide “fainting octopus” and a variety of sushi, which are the unique local delicacy. Also, sweetbrier natural study grounds are located in the park, providing an ideal course for children field trips.
